The Best Magazines for the Art Curious

Hello Next Up Collector Community!

Looking for a magazine that best speaks to your tastes for an upcoming plane, train, or car ride? Or perhaps, something to snuggle up with on the very cold, very dark, and very frigid evenings we are already experiencing in London this fall!

For those based in London -

Take a visit to Chiltern Street in Central London to Shreeji Newsstand, you can view their website here. I was there the other week for an amazing pop up show they did during Frieze Week in collaboration with Daniel Arsham that was a sell-out success.

If you’re looking for something new, I would recommend the following publications:

Drift Vol. 12 Paris

Luncheon

The Paris Preview

Monocle

Wallpaper

Frieze

For the most up-to-date issues of each magazine, I recommend visiting in person (and grabbing a coffee while you are there!)

For those globally -

Printed issues of art magazines that are more likely to be found on a global scale or readily available to order wherever you may be located -

Apollo

Aesthetica

The Art Newspaper

Artforum

Artnexus

CURA

Hi-Fructose

Many of these magazines allow for access to read online - if that is your thing - then go for it! However, I do also recommend checking out your local bookstore and seeing if they may have a copy laying around of the publication to read on a lovely Sunday morning.

For those looking for something online -

Frieze Online is an incredible publication, as are the following:

The Art Newspaper

Artsy

Artnet

Artspace

Stay tuned for Next Up Collectors membership content which will add to your list of must-see artists, gallery spaces, worldwide events, talks, and more!
