Our Guide to Frieze Week

Hello Next Up Collector Community! Welcome to our Guide to Frieze Week — one of the most exciting weeks in London’s arts and culture scenes. It can definitely be overwhelming and that is where we are here to help.

Frieze Turns 20!

Founded in 1991 by Sharp, Slotover and Gidley with the launch of Frieze magazine, Frieze London was then created in 2003, as one of the world’s most influential contemporary art fairs. More than 160 galleries will be attending the fair.

Standout Exhibitions at Frieze!

We recommend checking out the following galleries to see their offerings: Edel Assanti, And Now, Pilar Corrias, The Approach, Sadie Coles HQ, Galerie Max Hetzler, HOA, Casey Kaplan, and Nir Altman.

Make It A Day!

After Frieze, we recommend having lunch or dinner at nearby spots, such as Carlotta, Chiltern Firehouse, Fischer’s, Clarette, KOL, Home Marylebone, Roka Mayfair, Mercato Mayfair, Mister Nice, The Mandrake, The Italian Greyhound.

What Else is Happening?

Aside from Frieze, we recommend visiting 1-54 Art Fair and Women in Art Fair. We also recommend going to the West End Gallery Hop After Dark, one of my favorite events of the week, where galleries across the West End, especially on Cork Street, stay open late and you can enjoy chatting with others over a glass of champagne and music.
