Non-Art Venues to See Art in London!
Hello Next Up Collector Community! Looking for somewhere new to see art in London? Here is our curated list of best non-art places to see art!
Mount Street Restaurant and The Audley Pub in Central London
Artfarm (the brainchild of Hauser & Wirth) has created an outstanding restaurant upstairs and pub downstairs, complete with several established artists and artworks.
On our Instagram page, you can check out our reel, where we had breakfast at Mount Street Restaurant (however, I highly recommend it for dinner, as well!) - or if you would like something more casual, I highly reccomend their downstairs pub!
Artists include Phyllida Barlow, Martin Creed, Rodney Graham, Don McCullin, Rashid Johnson, Keith Tyson, Paul McCarthy, and more.
See more details here.
For breakfast, we recommend the omelette and an oat cappuccino while enjoying the artwork in a relatively quiet setting.
Sketch Restaurant - Gallery Room
After a recent artistic transformation, Sketch’s newly established golden/yellow room radiates warmth, brought about by artists Yinka Shonibare and India Mahdavi. Shonibare stands as a well-established British-Nigerian artist, while Mahdavi brings her background in architecture to create a transformative culinary and artistic experience. Shonibare contributed 15 artworks, which he calls the “Modern Magic” series. The space combines color, texture, and pattern to create a transcending experience for each viewer.

Zēphyr Notting Hill
An incredible newly-opened Greek spot in Notting Hill - perfect for a lovely brunch or dinner, but also great for sightseeing incredible works of art! The walls are adorned with playful little masterpieces of various shapes and sizes - definitely worth checking out next time you have a moment and are in the neighborhood!

Lavelle Bike + Bean
I stumbled across Lavelle Bike + Bean one afternoon when trying to find a quiet place to do some work and enjoy a healthy treat and cup of coffee. To my absolute surprise, the coffee shop (and bike shop downstairs) was full of beautiful artwork created by artist Sara Lavelle, who I have stayed in touch with ever since encountering her work and speaking with her one-on-one about her artistic process. I always feel grateful to be surrounded by these works and encourage you to check it out for yourself!
The Ned
One of my favorite spots in London, The Ned makes for great people-watching, art-spotting, and food-eating. Perhaps it is because of the Soho House like atmosphere, or of its unique location in London’s city center and financial district, or the architectural remnants of an old bank, but I absolutely love The Ned. Highly recommend heading downstairs to see some of the best artwork near The Parlor restaurant, but also recommend dinner at Kaia - an Asian-inspired restaurant serving up some of the best sushi in the city!
